How to Apply

Registration will open at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 28th

Step 1: Review the projects available below.
Step 2: Choose a project or two you would be interested in volunteering for. It is always good to have a backup in case your project fills up.
Step 3: Click on the project you would like to register for. You will find the application at the bottom of the project’s page.
Step 4: Once you complete the application, you will receive a confirmation email. Read over the email and note and important information.
Step 5: Fill out the required 2024 Travel Waiver & Hold Harmless Agreement at . This is REQUIRED for all participants.

Gateway Pet Guardians: Animal Shelter AssistantsVolunteers will be assisting with various aspects of running an animal shelter. Volunteer duties include cleaning, laundry, sorting and stocking donations and pet food and supplies, walking dogs and snuggling cats along with other tasks that might pop up in our ever changing, fast paced world of animal rescue.09:30-12:300/20
Girl Scouts of Eastern MissouriVolunteers will be assisting the Daisy Drop Box and Brownie Bundle Program Managers by creating SWAPS (stands for Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere) SWAPS are small, handmade keepsakes that Girl Scouts exchange with each other as a way to make new friends and create lasting memories. These SWAPS will go in troop meeting boxes that get shipped out to Daisy and Brownie troop leaders. Volunteers will be doing tasks like counting, cutting, tying, sorting, etc.10:00-15:000/20

H.E.R.O.E.S. Care Inc: Give BackVolunteers will be helping to inspect, de-tag and sort shipments from American Eagle, Men's Warehouse, and Amazon to name a few, before they are distributed to our military families and/or our charity partners.09:00-12:000/15

Humanitri: Home BeautificationVolunteers will help with yardwork, painting, and/or minor repairs so our families can enjoy their new homes.10:00-14:000/5
Hylton Point Apartments LSS: Bingo & Nail PaintingVolunteers will aid in student led low impact chair exercise with music for fun. Nail painting-residents will have their hand/foot nails cleaned and filed and students will paint. Fall and balance screening-students will conduct fall and balance screening with exercises for improvement or strengthening.10:30-12:000/8
Jackie Joyner Kersee: JJK CenterThrough tireless work and a commitment to ensuring every youth is given the opportunity to achieve greatness, the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation has grown to become a safe haven and learning-rich environment for area youth. Where the challenges and limitations of one of America’s most notoriously deadly and impoverished cities will never define where a child can go, or who they can become.
