Josh Milenbach Joshua Milenbach’s search for the perfect university that offered a well-connected sport business management program and an opportunity to continue his faith led the California resident to the Midwest.

“It came down to University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, or Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP,” says Milenbach. “Of course, I decided to come to Maryville. I also chose this university because it was on the smaller side and I knew it would have that ‘family’ feel. I think the best quality Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPhas is that it is a small enough campus to where I know a lot of people, but I also have the incredible opportunity to meet new people every day.”

Milenbach, who is double majoring in Rawlings Sport Business Management and Financial Services, also praised Maryville’s numerous student organization options. Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPoffers over 100 student organizations from social awareness clubs to spiritual organizations and more.

“Having Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPoffer these types of organization is crucial for diversity and inclusion,” says Milenbach. “This is because it makes minorities feel more welcomed and included on campus.”

He joined Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPHillel as a freshman.

“I joined Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPHillel because I wanted to have some friends right off the bat,” says Milenbach. “This organization has not only helped me find friends, but has helped me grow my Jewish family.”

As a member of Hillel, Milenbach participates in events such as Challal for Hunger Bake, the Jewish Cultural Food Fest and Chocolate Seder while also attending services.

“I knew that I wanted to bring my Jewish background into college and embrace who I am and Maryville’s Hillel allows me to do so,” says Milenbach. “By having all of us from around the country come together and bond makes me feel so honored to be a part of the Jewish community.”
