Major: Business Management and Leadership Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµAPP All-Star student Darius Harris knows a thing or two about leadership. He\u2019s the president of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµAPP\u2019s Boxing Club and is majoring in business management and leadership.<\/p>\n He credits the strong leadership skills he has earned during his time at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµAPPas the reason why he was selected as a featured student in the university\u2019s St. Louis American ad campaign. <\/p>\n \u201cI feel that is a great honor, and I do not take it lightly,\u201d says Harris. \u201cI believe I was selected because I strive to be a better leader and individual, overall. I also help and encourage others I come in contact with to be better.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition, Harris is a Multicultural Scholarship winner. Maryville\u2019s Multicultural Scholars program is a two-tiered program that provides students interested in helping to create an inclusive campus environment with a half-tuition (Multicultural Scholars) or a partial tuition (Multicultural Dean\u2019s Award) scholarship. Students must meet admission requirements and complete an essay as part of the admission application to be considered for the program. Select students are invited to campus during the annual University Scholars Competition weekend to compete for a limited number of scholarships.<\/p>\n Harris notes the all-inclusive environment gives Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµAPPa community-based network system for students to rely upon. <\/p>\n \u201cEveryone at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµAPPis like a family member, and I love it,\u201d says Harris.<\/p>\n Harris hopes to obtain a Masters of Divinity after graduating from Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµAPPin 2020. <\/p>\n
