A panel of experts, including Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµAPPfaculty and alumni, will discuss the impact of poverty in our own backyard and area schools, and the link between poverty and educational outcomes. The event is sponsored by Manchester United Methodist Church, and is co-sponsored by the School of Education<\/a> and Maryville’s\u00a0Center for Civic Engagement and Democracy.<\/p>\n

The panel, “The Opportunity Gap:\u00a0A Faithful Response to Inequalities Within Our Schools,” will be held on\u00a0Friday, Aug. 28, at 7 p.m. (a reception begins at 6:30 p.m.) at Manchester United Methodist Church, 129 Woods Mill Road in Manchester, Mo.<\/p>\n

The event is free and open to the community.<\/p>\n
