What\u2019s your Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµAPPexperience?
\n<\/em>Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµAPPwas not only an educational experience but a therapeutic journey, offering me a space to build long lasting relationships and explore the art of leadership on a deeper level. The support from faculty and peers, along with an environment that prioritized both learning and wellbeing, left a lasting impact on my approach to education and leadership. Dr. Bear and the entire team were approachable and relatable.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favorite Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµAPPmemory?<\/em>
\nOne of my favorite memories is engaging in group projects that allowed us to tackle real-world educational challenges. These collaborative experiences helped me cultivate HEARTWORK\u2014a commitment to leading with empathy and compassion\u2014and reinforced the idea that education is everyone\u2019s business.<\/p>\n

What are you doing now?
\n<\/em>I currently serve as the Assistant Superintendent of Cahokia Unit School District 187, where I lead with high levels of emotional intelligence, particularly in academic strategy, trauma-informed care, and crisis management. I\u2019m also the founder of Through the Eyes of Child, LLC, an educational consulting firm dedicated to supporting teachers and aspiring and current school leaders in education. In my personal life, I enjoy supporting my husband\u2019s business, Shahid Painting and Decorating, LLC.<\/p>\n

Additional goals and aspirations?
\n<\/em>My mission is to transform educational spaces by advocating for marginalized voices and developing trauma-informed, inclusive policies that foster resilience and belonging in school communities. I strive to lead with compassion, knowing that education must be approached holistically for lasting change.<\/p>\n

How did your education and experience at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµAPPhelp you?<\/em>
\nMaryville\u2019s innovative approach to education, grounded in real world application, instilled in me a strong sense of leadership and a high level of emotional intelligence\u2014both essential for effective, empathetic leadership. The relationships I built and the invaluable learning experiences I gained continue to shape my career and consulting work.<\/p>\n

\nPursue your passions with HEARTWORK, integrity, and an understanding that education is everyone\u2019s business. True success lies not only in academic achievements but in building a legacy of empathy and empowerment that uplifts others.
